Great to have ⍜ Telescope AI founder, Luc Pettett give a talk on building magical products with generative AI, at this week’s edition of our Edge Exchange talk series for Hub members.
Luc is a rare combination of founder, CEO, developer and investor. In 2008 he founded punters.com.au, Australia’s largest online racing publisher and community, and sold the company to News Corp in 2016. He then got deeply into investing and became a limited partner in one of Silicon Valley’s best firms, as well as maing a number of angel investments.
His current startup, Telescope, is a SaaS platform that provides generative intelligence for Finance. Businesses like online brokerages, can integrate with Telescope’s API’s and use its tools to offer their share traders a suite of very useful features like suggesting investment ideas based on thematics or scenarios.
Luc and his team have made very creative use of generative AI to power these tools, allowing users to enter things like “ageing population” “extra long el nino” “rise of space tourism” and get a list of stocks whose performance may correlate in some way with those investment hypotheses.
It was fantastic to get a demo of the tools and see just how comprehensive the feature set is already - the power of which will only grow as the underlying models improve and context windows increase in size. Thanks to Luc and the ⍜ Telescope AI team for inspiring our Hub members.
