[24 June to 5 July] The Hub’s Winter Holiday Program for kids/teens has just launched and we’d love to see your kids!
They’ll be inspired while having fun creating cool projects with the latest technologies. Sign your kids up for any of the ten workshops on offer. Workshops suit girls and boys aged 7 and up (see age guidelines on individual workshops).
All workshops are taught by our talented young Hub Cadets and alumni. They earn holiday money by sharing their passions and skills with younger kids.
The two week program includes:
-
Robotics - prep course for RoboRAVE Australia competition (choose from 2 courses - Sumo or non-Sumo. Each course has 4 sessions). Kids will join a team, then learn to code, build and train their robot to complete one of the RoboRAVE challenges (eg. Sumo or Non-Sumo: Line Follow, A-Maze-ing, Mouse Labyrinth). Kids must attend all 4 holiday sessions + compete with team at RoboRAVE comp (either 13 or 14 July depending on their chosen challenge). No prior robotics experience is needed. For ages 7 and up.
-
Digital Art for iPad (Procreate app) - 3 courses for budding digital artists (beginners, intermediate, drawing skills)
-
Build Your Own PC! Yep, from scratch in 3 sessions
-
Coding Retro Games with AI and Python - think Pong, Space Invaders and more
-
3D design and printing (using Onshape) - make a cool mini-Pinball machine and a few other cool projects
-

-

You’ll find the full program details and ticket links at Link
Feel free to share with other Sunny Coast/Noosa parents and teachers - we’d love to spread the word so even more kids can have fun learning and creating with technology during the winter holidays :)
